Árbol de Esperanza/Tree of Hope:
Gift Pickup Date: December 20th
Much like the Angel Tree, this Christmas event provides the mothers of our Little Sprouts program with some hope for the holidays. These are mothers who are struggling to provide for their families and receive monthly diapers by being enrolled in Little Sprouts, but for the month of December, we want to give her more than diapers.
During the Month of December, a themed Christmas tree is placed in front of the HFF Office called, Árbol de Esperanza/Tree of Hope. Near the tree are ornaments with a mother’s assigned number, and the age and size of each of her children. Community members can take an ornament and purchase the Christmas gifts for the mother’s children in need.
After purchasing the gifts, community members can choose to either drop off the gifts wrapped or to-be wrapped at the HFF Office, or they can come to our Community Wrap party! This is a fun evening where we all go crazy wrapping presents for Árbol de Esperanza!
Once the gifts are wrapped, they are then given as a surprise at the December Little Sprouts Pick-Up day. The mothers not only receive their diapers, but gifts to put under the tree for their family all thanks to the community of Nashville!
